KATHMANDU, Jan 03:Tourist bus services between Kathmandu and Pokhara began with the start of the English New Year 2024. Four various companies unveiled six new buses with sofa seater and gave services to passengers to increase Nepal's both domestic and foreign tourists.

Baba Adventure Tours and Travels, Rainbow Adventure Tours and Travels, Yeti Adventure Tours and Travels, and Blue Line Travel and Tours have operated buses from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Kathmandu to Sunauli, aimed at domestic and foreign travelers.

Yeti Adventure Tours and Travels owner Krishna Acharya stated that six tourist buses have been given from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Sunauli in preparation for the English New Year.

Acharya, the president of the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN), stated that despite recent large investments in Nepal's tourist buses, there is an issue due to damaged roads.

According to Shishir Khanal, proprietor of Rainbow Adventure Tours & Travel, a new bus with sofa seater  has been introduced to provide superior services to travelers.

He stated that his company had purchased two buses for Rs 25 million and was providing tourist services. Tourists traveling from Kathmandu to Pokhara will be served by the Rainbow Adventure Tours and Travels, Yeti Adventure Tours and Travels, and Blue Line Travel and Tours busses.

Previously, Baba Adventure, which has been offering services to domestic and foreign tourists via tourist buses from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Kathmandu to Chitwan, operated the Kathmandu Sunauli bus service, which targeted Sunauli passengers.

Prahlad Lohani, proprietor of Baba Adventure and previous president of the TBAN, stated that Baba Adventure has been operating two busses targeting Indian visitors since the new year.

Despite significant investment in tourist buses in Nepal, there is no distinct bus park for tourist buses, causing challenges for business owners. At the moment, tourist buses run from Sorakhutte Road in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 to various regions of the country.

The TBAN's general secretary, Milan Nepal, stated that there is a difficulty because there is no bus park for tourist buses. At the moment, more than 100 tourist buses pass through Kathmandu Sorakhutte road every day on their way to other regions of the country.
