Country's tourism sector returned to its old rhythm : Tourism Minister Kirati

KATHMANDU, Dec 28:Sudan Kirati, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, claims that the country's tourism industry has returned to its old rhythm.

He stated at a press briefing held at the ministry on Tuesday that about 1 million foreign visitors have visited Nepal since he became minister. He stated that he established e-ticketing within a month of becoming minister, and that he is presently in the process of purchasing three planes to go to rural places. He also stated to have successfully operated in 22 airports where no flights could take place.


"So far, our country's tourism has returned to its old rhythm," Kirati remarked. One million foreign tourists have visited. When it comes to the Nepal Airline Corporation, we adopted e-ticketing within a month."

Minister Kirati announced the completion of the installation of electric devices for free cremation in the Pashupati area. He stated that he had made the final push to include Tilaurakot in the Lumbini region on the World Heritage List.
