Nepal Engineering College announces scholarship for earthquake victims

KATHMANDU:Nepal Engineering College has announced to give scholarships to the students of earthquake affected areas of Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim.  The college has stated that it will provide five seat full scholarships to students from the Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim areas hit by the earthquake on the 3rd of November.

The college has announced scholarships for 5 seats under graduation in Architecture, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil and Rural Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Bachelor for Diploma Holders in Civil Engineering. "When the citizens of Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim are suffering because of the earthquake, we have allocated 5 seats at the graduate level so that their children can get support in their studies and education." The scholarship was announced for the academic session 2023, according to the college's acting principal, Durga Prasad Bhandari.


The college will award scholarships based on the merit list of the scholarship admission exams. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have their class 11 and 12 marks sheets, the results of the college's entrance exam, a citizenship certificate, permanent residence in the earthquake-affected area, and a letter of recommendation from the relevant local authority as an earthquake victim.

Students who attended government or public schools would be given priority, according to the college.
