Devisthan Hill in Kavre designated paragliding zone

KATHMANDU, Dec 20:Commercial paragliding is now allowed from Kavre's Devisthan Hill.

At this site, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has established a 'World Market Paragliding Zone'. Dhulikhel municipality belongs this location. Last July, a test flight was conducted at this location.

The CAAN has identified Devisthan Danda as the take-off location and Badal village as the landing site.

Paragliding activity has recently increased near Kathmandu Valley. Paragliding is currently in operating, with flights departing from Chandragiri in Kathmandu and landing at Chitlang in Makwanpur.
