NAC employees' agitation halted

KATHMANDU, Dec 20:The Nepal Airlines Corporation Joint Trade Union Struggle Committee has postponed the protest program.

They have temporarily ceased the movement's programs as of Monday the 13th days. On Sunday, they met with Sudan Kirati, the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation. The protest campaign was then halted on the minister's orders.

Speaking to the media, Mahesh Prasad Bhattarai, Secretary General of the Nepal National Staff Organization, stated that the protest was called off after the Minister promised that a decision on 'ground handling' would be made by the Council of Ministers in a meeting with Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Kirati.

He said that Minister Kirati would protect Nepal Airlines Corporation's 'ground handling' and set a precedent that the Council of Ministers would make a decision.
