POKHARA, Dec 16:The Go to Pokhara campaign has been established to boost tourism in the Pokhara region. According to Laxman Subedi, Chairman of the Hotel Association Pokhara Nepal, a 6-day 'Go to Pokhara Campaign' began on Friday.

He stated that a team from Pokhara arrived in Bhairahwa on Friday via Syangja, Palpa, and Butwal on the Siddharth Highway. The other team will go to Mahendranagar via Butwal, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi, according to President Subedi.

The association's chairman , Subedi, stated that the 6-day program was arranged by the association from December 15 to December 20 in order to domestically boost the tourism sector, which has been hindered by the Covid-19 outbreak and the economic recession.

Pomnarayan Shrestha, chairman of the Pokhara Tourism Council, stated that there has recently been a growth in tourism arrivals in Pokhara and expressed his conviction that such activities will assist to promote tourism even further.

According to General Secretary Rajendra Dhakal, press conferences will be held at three locations as part of the campaign: state level, local government and non-government, and tourism experts and other stakeholders.
