1329 climbers receive climbing permits for various mountains
KATHMANDU, Dec 11:1329 people have been granted permission to climb the mountain during the winter season.
1329 people, including natives and foreigners, including 1069 men and 260 women, have obtained permission to climb various mountains.
According to Rakesh Gurung, director of the department of tourism's 1,329 people from 172 groups have been issued climbing permits.
A total of 492 people from 45 groups have requested permission to climb Mount Amadablam. Climbers from 76 countries have so far obtained permission to climb 52 mountains, according to Gurung.
Similarly, 301 people have applied for permission to climb Manaslu, and 125 people have applied to climb Himlung.
The United States has 130 mountain climbers, France has 129, Germany has 96, China has 79, Russia has 67, Japan has 51, and Switzerland has 50. The department has collected Rs.7 crore 66 lakh 93 thousand 12 in revenue.
22 people from six countries have applied for permission to'ski' in Nepal's mountains as part of this process. The highest among those receiving permits to this end are from France.According to the department, they will descend the base camp by ski after climbing the mountain.
Spring, Autumn, and winter seasons are considered suitable for mountain climbing in Nepal.
