Cruise ship resumed operations on Narayani River

CHITWAN, Dec 09:Nepal's first cruise ship, which had been closed on the Narayani River, reopened on Thursday.

According to Rhino Water Entertainment Pvt Ltd, with the onset of monsoon, the cruise ship, which was closed on the Narayani river bank due to the flood in the Narayani river, has been brought back into regular operation as of Thursday.


According to Deepak Dhungel, executive director of Rhino Water Entertainment, services have been provided to passengers in three shifts every day since Thursday, with the cruise ship operating normally.

He mentioned that they can travel on a cruise for one hour for Rs 350 per person and Rs 200 for children aged five to ten, and that there is a facility with a restaurant inside the cruise itself.

"Cruise Ships will provide free service to children under five years and senior citizens above 70 years of age" .

He stated that the event cruise service will be provided based on the needs of the customer, and that packages for weddings, birthdays, meetings, and seminars are included. He claims that 'cruise ships' services can accommodate up to 150 people at once time.

He stated that service facilities will be provided in dinner cruises and event cruises based on customer demand, but that passengers on regular cruises will get lunch and drinks at market prices because there are restaurant facilities.
 
In the same year that the cruise ship has been operating, passengers from east to west of Nepal have used the service. in season every day, 150 people traveled by cruise ship.

Although the company has been granted permission to operate cruise ships from Devghat to Golaghat, it is currently only operating one kilometer in one direction.

According to Executive Director Dhungel, the cruise ship was unable to travel at full capacity due to a change in the stream caused by the water flowing in the Narayani River and the extraction of river materials.
