Sauraha will host crocodile conservation fair

CHITWAN, Dec 07:The Crocodile Conservation Fair 2023 will take place in Sauraha, a tourist destination. This fair will be held on the 8th and 9th of December in order to protect the crocodile. The fair is intended to organize local community participation in the conservation of the critically endangered Ghadiyaal crocodile, as well as to provide scientific information and to plan a long-term conservation strategy for the entire crocodile species.

The fair's coordinator, Ranjana Bhatt, stated that the event was organized to instill conservation values in the next generation. Organized by Care of Nature, the fair will have informational audio-visual materials related to crocodile species, posters, paintings, and viewing of the information center as well as local art, culture, and food stalls. She stated that conservation education will be taught in eight different schools, and that conservation-related programs such as dramas, songs, and dances will be performed during the fair.
