Manakamana Darshan honors as highest tax payer in tourism sector

KATHMANDU, Nov 24:Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd has been honored as the highest  taxpayer in the tourism sector.

The government honored the company for paying the highest income tax among tourism-related businesses in fiscal year 2021/22.

On Thursday, the government honored the company in occasion of National Tax Day 2080. On that occasion, 16 taxpayers from various categories were honored for having filed the most taxes.

Since November 24, 1998, the company, founded by the late Laxmanbabu Shrestha, a distinguished entrepreneur, has operated a cable car service from Ichchakamana rural municipality Cheres in Chitwan to Mankamana temple in Gorkha.

In addition, the company operates cable cars in other parts of the country.
