'Step by Step' book written about mountain guide Sherpa published

KATHMANDU, Nov 06:A book called 'Step by Step' written about mountain guide Pemba Gyalje Sherpa has been published.

Former Deputy Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Vice President Ishwar Pokharel launched the book on Saturday in Kathmandu. Mark Powell wrote the 'Step by Step' book.

Pokharel went on to say, "I want to thank author Powell for writing a book about mountain guide Pemba Gyalje Sherpa and trying to make it known to the world."

He said that the book covers how a youth who came forward from a Sherpa community moves forward 'step by step'.

Similarly, Mountain Guide Pemba said that he felt very happy to publish the book written about him 'Step by Step'.

Lisa Choegyal, New Zealand Honorary Consul in Nepal, Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa, Chairman of Yeti Group, Manveer Rai, Member of the House of Representatives The program featured Nima Nuru Sherpa, President of the Nepal Mountaineering Association, Mingma Chiri Sherpa, Chairman of the Khumbu Rural Municipality, Tasi Lhamu Sherpa, Vice Chairman of the Khumbu Rural Municipality and and others were present in the program.
