Indo-Nepal Wedding Summit 2023 concluded

KATHMANDU, Nov 06:The wedding summit was hosted in Nepal for the first time. The Indo Nepal Wedding Summit is organized by Bull Events Management Nepal in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board, and is designed and managed by India's prominent professional organization The Bull.

The summit's purpose is to define marriage as a tourism sector and to market Nepal as a wedding destination.

The two-day conference was attended by more than 30 leading wedding  planners from India. Famous hotels, wedding planners, and other Nepalese stakeholders also took part.

The Indian wedding planner visited many star hotels and resorts in Kathmandu. The conference included B2B meetings and group discussions with stakeholders. The participants in the debate agreed that there is significant potential for marriage tourism in Nepal.

According to Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Industries and Commerce, the summit transmitted the message that Nepal is completely prepared in all aspects, including political, physical, and legal infrastructure, to host international, particularly Indian, wedding ceremonies in the future.

Rudrasingh Tamang, Director General of the Department of Immigration, stated that the department is ready to provide the required assistance for foreigners organizing wedding ceremonies in Nepal.

Mukti Shrestha, Chief Customs Officer of Tribhuvan International Airport, told that the customs has distinct provisions for importing gold and other commodities and pledged to assist with other things as needed.

According to Samit Garg, president of the Event and Entertainment Management Association of India, Nepal can be a perfect destination for Indians because hundreds of wedding ceremonies are arranged each year from India in various nations around the world.

The Indian wedding planner stated that such events may be hosted in Nepal because of art, culture, cuisine, and the two nations' ties, and he suggested that infrastructure development and customs facilitation be prioritized.
