NAC will not charge fares of earthquake injured

KATHMANDU, Nov 06:Nepal Airlines Corporation has decided to provide complimentary tickets to earthquake victims. The NAC has decided not to charge the injured and their families for their fares.

On Saturday, the injured were rescued by the NAC's TwinOtter aircraft. He transported injured people from ChaurJahari Airport to Nepalgunj and Kathmandu.

The NAC stated in a press release issued on Sunday that it has decided to provide free transportation to the injured and three passengers as part of its social responsibility.

In coordination with the government, the NAC has stated that it will not charge for the transportation of relief items in earthquake-affected areas. "Relief materials received from national and international levels in coordination with the government will be transported free of charge on scheduled flights from the sector where the corporation flies depending on the capacity and space availability of the plane," according to a press statement.
