CAAN will contribute Rs 10 million to earthquake victims

KATHMANDU, Nov 06:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) would contribute ten million rupees to the victims of the Jajarkot earthquake.

According to CAAN spokesperson Jaganath Niraula, the authority has decided to deposit ten million rupees in the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund for the earthquake-affected areas of Jajarkot and Rukum West.

Furthermore, the CAAN has decided to provide a 100% discount on all types of aircraft used for rescue, as well as all fees charged at Nepalgunj, Surkhet, and Rukum Salleri Airports.

The magnitude 6.4 earthquake that struck Jajarkot's Barekot Rural Municipality-1 Ramidanda on Friday night has claimed several lives in the Jajarkot and Rukum West regions.
