Pokhara tourism will be promoted in eastern Nepal

POKHARA, Nov 02:With the collaboration of the Pokhara Hotel Association and the Pokhara Metropolitan City, a tourism promotion program will be held in major cities in eastern Nepal.

Laxman Subedi, President of the Pokhara Hotel Association, stated that a team of tourism professionals and media representatives will travel to Eastern Nepal for a five-day campaign beginning Thursday, November 2, with the goal of making domestic tourism viable in Pokhara.

He stated that the organization has been executing the 'Go to Pokhara' campaign in various cities in Nepal for two decades and that the arrival of domestic visitors, which was only one percent at the time, has now reached 35 percent.

'The program has had significant impact not only on Pokhara but also on other tourist cities in Nepal,' he stated, adding that 'internal tourism has made a special contribution to tourism afflicted by various disasters, including the Corona outbreak.'

President Subedi stated that there will be an interaction program amongst tourism professionals in Janakpur, Biratnagar, Birtamod, and Dhankuta during the promotional program to be held in eastern Nepal.
