October 2023 new record foreign tourists arrive in nepal

KATHMANDU, Nov 01:In the month of October, tourist arrivals new records. For the first time in Nepal's tourist history, 1,17,300 foreign visitors visited the country in October.

According to data given by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), 113,816 visitors visited Nepal in 2019 prior to Covid. According to the NTB's director, Maniram Lamichhane, the number of tourists visiting Nepal in October has shattered all previous records.

"Looking at the tourist arrival data, it is encouraging," said Lamichhane, the director of the NTB. "The number of tourist arrivals is increasing as it was before Covid."

According to data, 899,668 visitors visited Nepal in the first ten months of 2023. The majority of tourists who visited Nepal in October were Indians. The number of tourists from India is 18,480.

Similarly, 14,879 tourists came from USA, and 8,217 came from the United Kingdom. In October, there were 6,880 visitors from China, 6,075 from Australia, and 5,916 from Germany.
