1285 climbers take permission to scale various mountains in autumn season
KATHMANDU, Oct 31:This autumn, 1,285 persons have taken for permission to climb the peak.
Until October 25, 948 men and 237 women, both domestic and international, had earned climbing licenses, according to the Department of Tourism.
So far, the majority of people have obtained permission to climb Mt. Amadablam this season.
According to the department, 401 persons have applied for Amadablam, comprising 339 men and 70 women.
Similarly, permission has been granted to 301 individuals for Mt Manaslu and 125 for Mt Himlung.
Climbers from 72 nations have so far obtained authorization from the department of tourism to ascend 49 different mountains. Revenue of 69.1 million rupees has been collected.
