Hotel is under construction at Basantpur top station of Lumbini cable car

LUMBINI, Oct 29:Rudra Paudel, Director of Lumbini Cable Car Limited, has reported that a five-star hotel is being built in Basantpur for Nepalese and Indian nationals.

He also stated that 5 billion rupees will be invested in both the cable car and the hotel. Director Paudel stated that the Kamakhyadevi Temple in Basantpur has become a popular religious destination for tourists from Uttar Pradesh, India, and that a cable car circuit will be built so that Indian tourists who visit here can be taken to other religious sites in Nepal.

As it is bordered with Terai district of Lumbini region of Uttar Pradesh, India, this tourist infrastructure located in Lumbini region will become an important destination for Indian citizens as well, he said.

According to Acharya Balakrishna, head of Patanjali Yogpeeth, the main attractions of Indian tourists are the Kamakhya Bhagwati temple established at Basantpur, the top station of the cable car, the natural beauty here, and the calm atmosphere found in Basantpur even in the heat of the Terai.
