More than 2,000 pilgrims arrived at Pathibhara on single day

TAPLEJUNG:On Tuesday, more than two thousand visitors arrived at the popular pilgrimage site Pathibhara Temple in Taplejung. According to the Pathibhara Region Development Committee, 2,555 pilgrims traveled from various parts of the country to worship the goddess and visit the temple.

With the advent of Navratri, devotees have begun to swarm to the temple. Approximately 5,000 pilgrims have visited Pathibhara since the start of Navratri. A CC camera was put this year to count the number of pilgrims who visit Pathibhara. It is claimed that it is better to perform pujas during Navratri, and since the weather has improved, the number of devotees has increased.

On Saturdays and Tuesdays, the number of devotees is higher than on other days.

During Pathibhara, the number of devotees on Saturdays and Tuesdays is significantly higher than on other days. In previous years, there have been statistics of 10,000 devotees on the same day on Saturday and Tuesday during Dashain. Every year, millions of local and foreign pilgrims visit this temple.

Gomadevi Chemjong, Chief District Officer, stated that with the increased number of devotees, plans such as security, easy transit, and lodging in the Pathibhara area had been discussed with businessmen and connected parties. Manmani Kafle, Executive Director of Pathibhara Area Development Committee, said that due to the increase in the number of pilgrims, the necessary arrangements have been made by deploying manpower for the puja.
