TIA set a new record for highest number of landings and takeoffs

KATHMANDU, Oct 18:On Monday, a new record was set at Nepal's largest and first international airport, Tribhuvan international airport (TIA).

On Monday, there were 114 international flights/landings at this airport. According to the Tribhuvan Airport office, this is the most landings and takeoffs in a single day.

This airport served 16,509 passengers in a single day. In Nepal, the holiday season has begun. The tourist season has begun as well.

As a consequence, airlines are operating under high demand. Even on domestic flights, airlines are operating at roughly full capacity.
