Helicopter rescue of three sickness tourists in Manaslu area

KATHMANDU, Oct 18:Three tourists who fell ill in the Manaslu area of North Gorkha were airlifted.

According to Chief District Officer Dinesh sagar Bhusal, they were rescued and flown to Kathmandu by an Air Dynasty helicopter on Tuesday.


Basant Ghimire of Siranchok Rural Municipality-3 Harmi, Kapil Ghimire of Chitwan Bharatpur, and Subodh Aryal had been rescued, he told me.

They were on a trek in the Manaslu area and fell ill after reaching Chumnubri Rural Municipality-1 Samdo.

"There was a report that he was sick," CDO Bhusal added. He was rescued on Tuesday." He stated that the rescue was delayed owing to a problem with the helicopter flying caused by the precipitation.
