HAN's demand hotel and resort standards be revised
KATHMANDU, Oct 03:The Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) is demanded for changes to hotel and resort standards and categorization.
A delegation of HAN officials and working committee members led by HAN President Binayak Shah met with Rudrasinh Tamang, Director General of the Department of Immigration, and Chakra Bahadur Budha, Director General of the Department of Tourism, and presented this demand.
In a meeting with the Director General of the Department of Tourism, Chakra Bahadur Buddha, the HAN demanded an amendment to the minimum standards prepared for hotels and resorts in the district, as well as the standard of classification of star hotels-2077, in order to make the stay of international and international tourists in Nepal pleasant, reliable, and safe.
According to Han, there was an in-depth discussion with the Director General of the Department of Immigration about the increase in tourist arrivals following COVID-19, increasing the attraction of tourists to visit Nepal, and improving border crossing and airport immigration, service delivery, and training.
The delegation included HAN senior vice president Prabin Bahadur Pandey, general secretary Sajan Shakya, treasurer Youbraj Shrestha, and member Ashlesha Karki.
