Committee's suggestion to Nepal Airlines to purchase a plane by selling Soaltee Hotel shares

KATHMANDU, Oct 02:The committee formed by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to give necessary suggestions to improve the condition of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has recommended the necessary resources for the purchase of aircraft.

The committee chaired by Dipendra Bahadur Chhetri, who is also a former governor, has suggested to sell the shares in Soaltee Hotel. It is suggested that resources can be managed by selling the shares of the company in the hotel.

NAC owns 1 crore 3 lakh 33 thousand 699 shares in Soaltee Hotel Limited. The current market value of this share has reached 4.57 billion 78 lakh 28 thousand 65 rupees, it is mentioned in the report of the committee.

"It seems that the proceeds from the sale of the shares of Soaltee Hotel Limited can be used to buy a new aircraft," the report of the committee stated.
