Diplomatic officers from ten different countries visited Patan

KATHMANDU, Sep 29:Diplomats from ten different countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, have visited Patan's archaeological and historical sites.

Ganesh Karki, Consul of Mauritius for Nepal, stated that a tour to the Patan area was planned on Tuesday by the Rotary Club of Patan legacy and the Consulate of the Republic of Mauritius Kathmandu to promote the Patan area's promote.

More than ten nations' ambassadors/heads of diplomatic missions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand, toured dozens of sites ranging from Patan Dhoka to Patan Durbar Square.

During the heritage inspection, former Rotary International District Nepal Bhutan Governor Dilendraraj Shrestha, elected Governor Rajendraman Sherchan, Consul for Nepal on behalf of Mauritius and founding president of Rotary Club of Patan Heritage Ganesh Karki, current president Sonu Shakya, public representatives and employees from various wards of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality, local heritage experts, Rotary Club of Patan office bearers, members, and Rotaract representatives

After viewing more than a dozen heritage monuments, including Mikha Bahal, Ganesh Temple, and Golden Temple, the observation tour concluded at Patan Durbar Square.

Karki, the Consul of Mauritius in Nepal, stated that the tour was planned to strengthen the friendship between Mauritius and Nepal while also providing information about the archaeological and historical legacy in the Patan area.
