Companies and entrepreneurs who make major contributions to tourism are honored

KATHMANDU, Sep 27:The government of Nepal has recognized the companies and businesspeople that have made the greatest contributions to the tourism industry in a single year.

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation recognized the companies that had made the greatest contribution to the tourism industry in the previous year.

Among those honored is Seven Summit Treks Pvt.. According to the ministry, this company earned the most foreign currency between August 2022 and August 2023. This business made 43 lakh 22 thousand 64 US dollars.

Sita World Travel Nepal Pvt Ltd has been honored for generating more foreign currency through travel and tours. In one year, this corporation earned 33 lakh 61 thousand 136 dollars.

Everest Hospitality and Hotel was honored for attracting more foreign currency to hotels and resorts. This company has earned 50 lakha 41 thousand 237 dollars in a single year.

Pokhara Ultralight has been given honors for the adventure game. In one year, this company earned 44 thousand 388 US dollars in foreign currency.

On behalf of the airline company, Nepal Airlines Corporation has been honored. This vibration has brought in 8 crore 45 lakh 9 thousand 937 USD foreign currency to Nepal in one year. 

Lumbini Green Resort Shivraj Kapilvastu has also been honored for promoting agro-tourism by rearing fish, vegetables, greens, and poultry produced in its resort complex.

Amaltari Homestay Nawalparasi has received honored as a homestay. Christine Harila and Lama Tenzan Sherpa were also honored by the government this year for setting a record by ascending 14 summits higher than 8,000 meters in 92 days.
