On the occasion of World Tourism Day, evening heritage walks and guide training were held

KATHMANDU, Sep 26:Kirtipur Municipality and Kirtipur Voluntary Society finished the One day  guide training project on September 24,2023, to enhance evening tourism in Kirtipur.

Anil Chitrakar, a well-known social entrepreneur and specialist, instructed the local guides in an empowerment session. In Kirtipur, this instruction was mainly centered on the skill of storytelling. The program included 30 Kirtipur Guide Association members and other attendees.

The training event is believed to be part of an ongoing push to raise awareness of Kirtipur's unique heritage and cultural attractions. Previously, another session was held to improve Kirtipur's internet presence by providing maps, images, and films.

The campaign's highlight will be an evening heritage walk on September 27 to commemorate World Tourism Day. Participants in this tour will be escorted through Kirtipur's rich heritage trail, guided by its historical heritage.

Rajkumar Nakarmi, Mayor of Kirtipur Municipality, expressed enthusiasm for active participation in the promotion of nighttime tourism and stated that the evening historical walk on September 27 will be an essential step toward this goal.

Kirtipur Swayamsewak Samaj is working with the municipality to develop a strong digital presence for Kirtipur on tourism platforms like as maps and social media. This community-based organization has played a significant role in ensuring that Kirtipur's attraction and charm reach a global audience.

Anil Chitrakar, the evening heritage walk's chief guide, underlined Kirtipur's status as a hill town with a prominent tourism brand.

He stated that Kirtipur, which is located at a high elevation inside the Kathmandu Valley, has its own distinct qualities. He stated that Kirtipur is noteworthy because of the lovely view that can be seen from here.

Bikas Dangol, treasurer of Kirtipur Swayamsewak Samaj, stated that the history walk preparations have been done and that they are excited to welcome the participants.
