Tourismmail's Photo Journalist Ambir Tolang honor of Eco Tourism Photojournalism
KATHMANDU, Sep 24:Ambir Tolang, a Tourismmail journalist, has been honored. The National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ) honored Tolang the 'Eco Tourism Photojournalism' at its 26th Annual General Meeting.
On Saturday, Forest and Environment Minister Birendra Prasad Mahato recognized photojournalist Tolang at a ceremony in Kathmandu.
Similarly, Kalpana Maharjan, for adventure photojournalist, Ratna Shrestha for cultural heritage, Bijay Maharjan for sports, and Suresh Kumar Shrestha for entertainment received Harigopal photojournalism honors and distinctions.
At the NFPJ's anniversary ceremony, prominent Photojournalist Shridharlal Manandhar, Ram Gurung, Shekhar Choulagain, and Prabin Shrestha were honored as senior photojournalists.
Mukund Kalikot received the Madhav Thapa Risky Photojournalism Award, which included a cash prize of 10,000 rupees, and the organization's treasurer, Lekh Bahadur Shrestha Sagar, was honored with the President's Award for his work.
Forest and Environment Minister Mahato presented them with medals and certificates.
According to Sushil Shrestha, senior vice-president of NFPJ and chairman of the program, the organization's policy is to honor and encourage Photo Journalists.
Acting General Secretary Ghanshyam Shrestha reviewed the organization's previous accomplishments and discussed future prospects.
