Yeti Airlines marks 25th years
KATHMANDU, Sep 21:Yeti Airlines is one of the leading domestic airlines has completed 25 years of establishment and has entered its 26th year.
Yeti Airlines, a domestic airline, started domestic flights on September 21, 1998.
Yeti Airlines took off from the inaugural Flight 9N AEV. At present, Yeti Airlines operates domestic flights through five ATR 72 aircraft.
On the occasion of Yeti Airlines' 25th anniversary (Silver Jubilee), Anoj Rimal, chief executive officer of the airline stated that he was proud to have contributed to the company's success since its beginning. "In this joyful moment, I express my heartfelt appreciation to the passengers, crew, and well-wishers," he said.
Yeti Airlines made its maiden flight on September 21, 1998, at the Tenzing Hillary Airport Lukla, the gateway to the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, using the aircraft call sign 9N-AEV. "We are proud to have the privilege of celebrating the 25th anniversary of flying in the Nepalese skies today," said Rimal.
The airline has stated that it will carry the duty with firm confidence and conscientiousness in the coming days to push the airline to greater heights.
Yeti Airlines plans to strengthen its domestic flying capacity by adding more aircraft. Yeti is planning to add three more ATR aircraft. Airlines are successful in capturing the second market share based on the number of passengers on domestic flights.
