5th Barakhari Story Writing Competition announced
KATHMANDU:The fifth 'Dish Home Baahrakhari Story Writing Competition-2080' has been announced. On Sunday, Barakhari Media held a press conference in Kathmandu to announce the latest round of the tournament.
You can enter this competition, which offers the highest prize money in Nepal's story writing competition, by emailing your story to [email protected] until October 17th. Stories in Nepali can be sent from anywhere in the world.
In the initial phase, all stories received by Bahrakhari will be sorted by an internal group led by Govind Adhikari, Bahrakhari's opinion editor. The internal group will select 50 stories from the received submissions to present to the judging panel.
The judging panel will choose the first, second, and third place winners, as well as 22 more stories for the book 'Utkrishta Katha, 2080' from among them. The jury's ruling will be final.
As in past years, the top three stories in the competition will get cash awards of Rs 1 lakh, Rs 60 thousand, and Rs 40 thousand, as well as certificates. A book containing the top 25 stories that make it to the final round will be published.
The remaining 22 storytellers whose work will be published in the collection will each receive 5,000 rupees.
