Sichuan Air to starts connecting flight between Nepal and Sydney in October
KATHMANDU, Sep 09:Sichuan Air, a Chinese carrier, will start a connecting flights between Nepal and Sydney, Australia, in October.According The airline's official General Sales Agent (GSA), Society International Travel Services, the airline, which presently operates seven weekly flights between Chengdu and Kathmandu, will expand its services to include Sydney.
We are planning to launch a connecting flight for Nepalis living in Australia. "With the launch of this flight to Sichuan, we hope to further reduce passenger fares," said Ravichandra Singh, chairman of Society International Travel Services.
At present, the minimum rate for connecting flights departing from Nepal is Rs 89,000.
Airlines such as Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Air India currently fly to Australia.
Himalaya Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Sichuan Air, Air China, Tibet Air, and other airlines have started flying routinely between China and Kathmandu after Covid took control and China opened its border.
Tribhuvan foreign Airport now receives 46 foreign flights per day.
