Bed Raj Bastola Elected President of NTVA: Strategic Priorities Revealed

KATHMANDU, Sep 08:The Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association (NTVA) unveiled its elaborate plans to advance the tourism vehicle industry in Nepal during a lavish ceremony marking the formation of the new committee. The newly elected president, Bed Raj Bastola, presented the organization's future vision and pledged to put forth unflinching effort and devotion to uphold their commitments.

The government's plan to ban the use of automobiles older than 20 in the tourism industry was one of the main topics of discussion at the event. Bastola told the audience that NTVA is dedicated to ensuring the high standard of functioning of these vehicles through stringent testing procedures. Sudan Kirati, a well-known figure in the field, was welcomed, thanked, and asked to take the situation of the 20-year-old vehicles into consideration.

Bastola emphasized the importance of maintaining valuable and quality vehicles, especially for destinations like Manang. He pointed out that continuously purchasing new vehicles would not be economically viable. Instead, NTVA believes that using older but still properly operational vehicles is a sustainable way to conserve the investments of businessmen, support the tourism industry, and contribute to Nepal's overall welfare.

Addressing safety concerns, Bastola mentioned that vehicle accidents often occur due to poor infrastructure. Moreover, rising insurance costs have further strained the vehicular segment of the tourism industry. He called for a comprehensive reevaluation of these issues to ensure the sector's sustainability.

As part of their plans, NTVA aims to collaborate with businessmen to create an instructional operation manual, that will serve as a guide for the sector's operations. NTVA's core priorities encompass expanding its membership base, establishing transparent pricing guidelines to balance operator profitability and tourist affordability, implementing an Embossed number plate system for enhanced professionalism and quality control, and recruiting and training skilled drivers and assistants to guarantee safe and memorable travel experiences. These initiatives collectively underline NTVA's commitment to rejuvenating Nepal's tourism vehicle sector while prioritizing sustainability and excellence in service delivery.

The Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association's unveiled plans showcase their commitment to strengthening the tourism vehicle sector in Nepal, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of tourists while preserving the interests of businesses and the nation itself. Under the leadership of Bed Raj Bastola, the future of tourism vehicles in Nepal appears promising, with energy, passion, and a clear vision driving their endeavors.

In a final note, Bastola extended a heartfelt request for assistance and support to the new committee from all those present at the program. He emphasized that the success of these ambitious plans relies on the collective efforts and cooperation of everyone involved.
