Photography trainings for trekking and mountain guides concluded

KATHMANDU, Sep 05:To promote Nepal's domestic and foreign tourist development, two different photography trainings for Trekking Guides and Mountain Guides have been completed.

In collaboration with the All Nepal Tourism Workers Association, Nepal Tourism Workers Association, Revolutionary Tourism Workers Association Nepal, and Socialist Tourism Trade Union Nepal, the Sustainable Tourism Project (STLRP) for Livelihood Regeneration completed a tourism photography training program from August 28 to 31. 138 trekking guides attended the training.

Similarly, Mountain Guide Association of Nepal (Mogan) provided mobile photography training for 65 mountain guides from August 4th to 6th. The program covered the overall tourism of Nepal, as well as a combination of theoretical and practical photography and mobile photography topics.

While distributing the certificate on the occasion of the project's completion, Maniraj Lamichhane, Director of the Nepal Tourism Board and National Program Coordinator of the project, mentioned that this training was organized for trekking guides and mountain guides in the context of the project's various tourism training. Tourism ambassadors include tour guides. Photographs can be a valuable tool for them in informing tourists about various locations throughout the country. We anticipate that the understanding of photography in the guides who accompany tourists will undoubtedly aid in the marketing of tourism.

Senior photojournalist Rajan Kafle and photojournalist Pradeep Kumar Shrestha provided instructions on camera operation, the value of photography, and its academic and practical components during the session. Similarly, TP Bhusal, Media Consultant of Nepal Tourism Board and Deputy Professor of Journalism provided training on general tourism and tourism photography in Nepal, as well as other legal elements such as privacy in photography.

Dharma Dawadi, livelihood specialist of the Sustainable Tourist Initiative (STLRP) for livelihood revitalization, stated that the initiative has also taught more than 100 journalists, including women journalists and other journalists, in tourism photojournalism.
