HAMS Hospital to provide free healthcare services at TIA

KATHMANDU, August 30: An agreement has been reached between Tribhuvan International Airport and HAMS Hospital to provide free health services at the airport. An agreement was reached to establish and operate a high-level clinic to provide emergency health services and emergency health services to passengers and employees at any time during the operation of the airport. 


The emergency clinic will be provided round-the-clock by a doctor and a nurse or paramedics with resuscitation backup, HAMS Hospital Chairman R. S. Bhandari informed. Bhandari says that this service will be provided under the social responsibility of the hospital.


Bhandari said that free ambulance service will be provided if additional treatment is required after the emergency service at the airport. According to the agreement, the HAMS Hospital ambulance will be available at the airport 24 hours a day. According to this agreement, it is said that the Civil Aviation Office of the airport will provide the necessary space for the hospital to operate the clinic at the airport free of charge.


It is mentioned in the contract that the hospital will provide health check-ups, primary health care, and emergency services for passengers and airport staff in the event of a sudden heart attack by skilled medical staff. 


The Tribhuvan International Airport office has informed that passengers and employees will get more facilities by providing emergency assistance and health camps in the event of a plane crash. The agreement was signed by Senior Director Sachi Regmi on behalf of the hospital and Narayani Devi Shrestha, deputy director of the authority on behalf of the airport.
