Druk Air to conduct charter flights to PRIA from September 9

KATHMANDU, August 29: Druk Air of Bhutan is set to operate direct flights from Paro International Airport to Pokhara Regional International Airport from September 9 onwards. According to Gyanendra Bhul, information officer for the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the airline has been granted permission to conduct a chartered flight from the said date.

As per CAAN, this aircraft will conduct flights to and from the newly constructed airport through a narrow-body aircraft. Druk Air's arrival at Pokhara is a positive development, as it will open the path for additional flights in the coming days, it is said.

Based on the charter flight report, Druk Air has provided assurance of regular flights from Bhutan. The Pokhara International Airport had its inauguration on January 1, 2023, and until now, there has been only one international commercial chartered flight to the airport.
