Bird strike on incoming Shree Airline ‘SHA 434’ halts operation at TIA

KATHMANDU, August 27: A bird strike on an incoming Shree Airlines SHA 434 flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu led to a halt of operations at Tribhuwan International Airport for around 10 minutes on Sunday. 

Operation at the Tribhuvan International Airport has resumed after a Shree Airlines plane met with a bird strike while coming for landing.

The spokesperson of the airport, Subas Jha, said that the flight resumed after the carcass of the bird was found.

The airport closed the runway for about 10 minutes after getting the news that a bird hit the plane of Shree 'SHA 434' call sign coming from Nepalganj. Spokesperson Jha said that no problems were found during the technical inspection of the aircraft after the bird strike.
