Less than 50 pc of allocated budget spent in last fiscal year by MoCTCA

KATHMANDU, August 25: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has been able to spend only 48.82 percent of its total budget in the last fiscal year. Of the total Rs 18.98 billion allocated to the ministry, just over Rs 9.26 billion was spent in the fiscal year 2022/23.

The highest amount of Rs 12.5 billion was allocated in the financial arrangement to be spent by the Ministry for the expansion of the aviation sector. However, the spending amounted to just Rs 4.27 billion. 

On the current expenditure, Rs 3.11 billion rupees was been allocated of which around Rs 2.93 billion or 92.23 percent was spent. Similarly of the total rs 3.82 billion allocated for capital expenditure, Rs 2.51 billion was spent in the previous year.
