Barkhe nach began at Beni in Myagdi

KATHMANDU, August 24:The traditional Barkhe nach has been shown by the Beni of Myagdi.

The traditional Barkhe nach has been presented at Beni, the capital of Myagdi.

Barkhe nach is traditionally shown by the Newar community of Beni from Ghantakarna Chaturdashi to Hartalika Teej. Lakhe, horse, bull, ropai, naganagini, paddy bala, and joginach will be on show this year.

It is stated that the Barkhe nach has been preserved because the Barkhe dance has become extinct.

After more than a decade, the balanach of rice will be presented in this year's Barkhe nach.
