Bhattarai elected as president of NATTA Koshi province unanimously

KATHMANDU, August 21: The 11th Annual General Meeting and 7th Convention of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) Koshi Province was held in Biratnagar on Saturday. The convention has unanimously elected a new leadership of 11 members under the chairmanship of Punya Prasad Bhattarai for the next two years.

The election committee of which advocate Navin Kumar Karki is the coordinator and journalist Laxmi Upreti is a member announced that the leadership was elected unanimously. According to advocate, Karki, Shekhar Prasad Dhakal has been elected as senior vice president, Sajit Tamang as vice president, Navraj (Navin) Kharel as general secretary, Jeevan Parajuli as secretary, Surendra Prasad Poudel as treasurer. The members include Manrath Silwal, Dharmaraj Sivakoti, Gaurav Shrestha, and Laxman Khadka (Gopal).

The special guests of the program were NATTA central President Ramesh Thapa, Sudurpaschim province president Padma Bikram Singh, Gandaki province president Hariram Adhikari, Madhesh province president Mohan Sharma, outgoing president of Koshi province Udaya kumar Shrestha.

Bhattarai, who was elected as the president, expressed his commitment to move forward with the government in the promotion and development of the tourism sector of Koshi province. He thought that many destinations in Koshi province, which has a lot of potential as tourist destinations, have been overshadowed due to publicity, and by promoting it, Natta and the government will work hand in hand to take Koshi province forward as a tourist destination.
