Seven hotels and restaurants to start operation under foreign investment

kathmandu, August 17:As many as seven hotels with foreign investments were registered in Kathmandu from mid-July alone. A number of companies have committed to operating Chinese and Korean restaurants so far. In Pokhara, 2 hotels and restaurants have been registered for operation, while in Kathmandu, restaurants with an accommodation capacity of 200 people have been registered. 

Eutteum Korean Restaurant Pvt. Ltd, which has a total capital of Rs 40 million, has been registered a the Department of Industry on August 7 to open a restaurant that can seat up to 200 people in Kathmandu Metropolitan-6. According to the department, the hotel will be operated with 100% foreign investment.

Similarly, Good Taste Cafe Pvt Ltd is set to come into operation at Kathmandu-32 with a paid-up capital of Rs 40 million under foreign investment. 

Wai Lee Hotel and Restaurant Pvt Ltd with a capacity of 20 beds and a 30-seat restaurant is set to come into operation at Kathmandu-16 with foreign investment.

In July, Hongdong Hotel and Restaurant Pvt Ltd registered with the Department of Industry to attract foreign investment with a total capital of Rs 10 million. The company said that it will operate an attic restaurant for up to 50 people and a 20-bed hotel in Kathmandu 16.

Su-Lian Hotel Pvt Ltd has also committed to bringing in foreign investment to operate in a branch in Kathmandu-26.

Similarly, the hotel will come into operation at a total investment of Rs 80 million with 48 beds and a restaurant that can accommodate 80 people with 100% foreign investment.

Likewise, Dongfang Palace China Langhau Flavour Linchiya Cuisine Pvt Ltd has been registered to operate a restaurant having a capacity of 60 with a total capital of Rs 40 million.

Hotel Bodhi Village Pvt Ltd, which was registered with the Department of Industry on July 10 for operation outside Kathmandu, will be put into operation in Pokhara. It has been mentioned that there will be 20 rooms in the hotel with a total capital of Rs 20 million. Furthermore, Wangfu Hot Pot Chinese Restaurant has been registered to attract foreign investment for operation with a commitment to operate a restaurant with a capacity of 55 seats.
