Vietnamese citizens are interested in visiting Lumbini and Everest: Ambassador Hai

KATHMANDU, August 16: Vietnamese Ambassador to Nepal Nguyen Thanh Hai has said that Vietnamese people are willing to come to Lumbini, the birth place of Gautam Buddha and Mt Everest.

Ambassador Hai said this while speaking at a program organized by the Nepal-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce to welcome Ambassador Hai on Wednesday.

Ambassador Hai mentioned that the Vietnamese are willing to come not only to Lumbini in Nepal but also to other tourist areas.

He said that there are many tourist destinations in Nepal and that Nepal's travel agencies should be able to encourage them. He said that since Nepal is an area of ​​great potential for tourism, it is necessary for the two countries to expand the communication network for tourism promotion.

He said that Nepal-Vietnam diplomatic relations are good adding that Vietnam is positive to expand the contact network in the fields of bilateral trade, tourism, and other possibilities for the economic prosperity of Nepal-Vietnam.
