Immobilised Air India aircraft halts operations at TIA
KATHMANDU, August 15: An Air India flight arriving at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu from Delhi was left immobilsed on the runway for almost an hour due to a technical issue.
According to airport sources, flight number 216 was stuck on the runway due to wheellock after a landing procedure. Regular flights to and from the airport were halted for about 57 minutes when the Air India plane got stuck on the runway.
The wheel-locked aircraft was later towed to the parking lot clearing the runway for further operation.
