PTC requests immediate relief of Kagbeni from all levels of government

POKHARA, August 15: The Pokhara Tourism Council has expressed its grief over the damage caused by the flood in Kagbeni, Mustang. On behalf of the council, Chairman Pom Narayan Shrestha expressed sorrow over the damage caused by the floods that hit Kagbeni on Sunday night and requested the provincial government, local level, and federal government to provide immediate relief to the displaced citizens.
The council has drawn the attention of the government to take all necessary steps to relieve the suffering of the citizens without leaving any stone unturned in rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, and relief work. Similarly, the council has appealed to security agencies, civil society, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations to focus on the security of citizens.
The council has requested necessary coordination, resource mobilization, and facilitation from the relevant ministries in the necessary tasks such as sending tents, tarpaulins, and blankets for the citizens, water supply, health services, food supply, transport management, agriculture and animal loss management, land conservation, etc. 
On Sunday night, Kagbeni was inundated by the flood of the Kagkhola River which saw many houses damaged.
