Simrik Air settles outstanding dues to CAAN
KATHMANDU, August 13: Simrik Air has settled its overdue payment of Rs 4.6 million to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
The airline's flights had been temporarily suspended starting Friday due to unpaid dues and an ongoing financial crisis, despite multiple appeals from the regulatory authority.
Following the suspension of its flight operations, Simrik Air promptly cleared the outstanding dues for the fiscal year 2022/2023 on Friday, according to the CAAN.
According to CAAN, other helicopter companies have also come forward to repay their outstanding balances of the last fiscal year. The suspension of such companies have been lifted after making the necessary payments to the authority.
