CAAN to study large structure located around airports across country

KATHMANDU, August 11: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal is going to study the impact of the tall structure located near the Tribhuvan International Airport for air safety purposes.
The authority will conduct a study of private and public structures located around a three-kilometer radius of the airports across the country including Tribhuvan International Airport. A four-member advisory committee has been formed under the coordination of Shreehari Bhatt, Deputy Director of the Air Safety Department, to study all the structures built around three kilometers of the 43 airports where flights will take place.
According to the Authority Act 2053 and Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 2073, it has been recommended to study and remove the structures affecting air safety around the airport.
