Larkyal Lama commits Rs 70 million for renovation of Maya Devi Temple

KATHMANDU, August 11: The newly appointed vice president of Lumbini Development Trust, Larkyal Lama in a secretariat meeting of the trust held today, has announced to provide financial support of Rs 70 million for the renovation of Maya Devi Temple.

An official of the Lumbini Development Trust said that Lama had voiced his commitment to donate the said amount as seed money for the reconstruction of the temple.

He shared that the reconstruction process of the temple will move ahead after getting approval from the Department of Archaeology. 

“Such proposals have been raised by the members from time to time without taking the support of the government. Lama has committed to provide Rs 70 million if it is approved,” he said.
