Pakistan Ambassador Hashmi for resumption of direct flights between Pakistan and Nepal

KATHMANDU, August 10: Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar Hussain Hashmi said that he is making efforts for the resumption of direct air flights between Pakistan and Nepal.
In a conversation with journalists at his office today, the Pakistani ambassador said that his first priority is to resume direct flights between the two countries through Pakistan International Airlines alongside other private sector airline companies.
He said that in his meetings with the President, Vice President, Speaker of the National Assembly, Minister of Finance and Foreign Affairs, and other important officials, he made it a high priority to establish business, tourism, and people-to-people relations between the to countries adding that Nepali officials also expressed their support for the same.
The Pakistani ambassador informed that he is in constant discussion with the related agencies of the Nepal government to hold meetings of all bilateral mechanisms including the Foreign Secretary-level talks between Pakistan and Nepal.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Nepal, more than seven thousand Nepalese have received education from Pakistan in the fields of education, health, military, civil aviation, etcetera.  The Pakistani ambassador expressed his commitment to support Nepal's development efforts as much as possible.
