Photojournalist Purnima Shrestha returned home after successfully climbing Mt K2

KATHMANDU, August 9:Purnima Shrestha, a photojournalist, has returned home after successfully climbing Mt K2, the world's second highest peak. She received a welcome arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday.

On July 27, she successfully ascended Mount K2 in Pakistan. K2 is regarded as one of the most challenging mountains to scale.

K2 is the second highest peak in the world after Everest, standing at 8611 meters.
