NRB increases dollar exchange facility for airline companies to USD 100,000

KATHMANDU, August 9: Nepal Rastra Bank has increased the US dollar exchange facility for airline companies for importing services.

Revising the Integrated Directive-2022, the central bank has raised the limit of USD 50,000 that airline operators are getting for importing services to USD 100,000.

Similarly, the NRB has also increased the amount of money that is given during importation through Document Against Payment (DPA), and Document Against Acceptance (DAA) to USD 60,000. The bank also made arrangements to import up to Indian rupees 30 million from India through DAA.

Similarly, the central bank has changed the provision of 2% deposit by industry and 10% deposit by commercial organizations, to 1% deposit and 3% deposit respectively when importing through electronic customs office.

The central Bank has revised the guidelines to implement the announcements made in the monetary policy of the current financial year.
