Passengers left angry after their bags were left in Dubai due to unfavourable conditions

KATHMANDU, August 7: Passengers who flew on a Fly Dubai flight to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Sunday were left dismayed after their baggage did not arrive along with them.

Fly Dubai flight number FDB 574-573 which landed in Kathmandu at 12:18 AM on Sunday had left around 70 baggages in Dubai angering passengers.

According to Spokesperson Subas Jha of TIA, the Fly Dubai flight that arrived in Kathmandu from Dammam International Airport in Saudi Arabia had left 70 pieces of luggage in Dubai due to the bad weather at the time of took off adding that the aircraft also had to carry more fuel. "As a result of bad weather in Kathmandu, the plane flew in with extra fuel but had to leave the baggage at Dubai to adjust the load. The missing luggage will be brought to Kathmandu today,” he said. 

An official of Nepal Air Service Corporation, who works in ground handling at TIA informed all passengers that their baggage will be handed over by tomorrow afternoon.

"Passengers are coming to the airport and demanding to hand over their baggage. But, how can we give it to them when their baggages are still in Dubai?
