Controversial former lawmaker Lharkyal Lama appointed vice-president of LDT

KATHMANDU, August 7: The government has appointed former state minister and then lawmaker Lharkyal Lama as the vice president of the Lumbini Development Fund.

Lama who has a controversial history due to his previous arrest in fraud and weapons cases was appointed to the post under the direct instructions of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Although, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati had recommended Ani Choying Dolma, PM Dahal has handed the responsibility to Lama.
